Amadablam Expedition

Located above Tengboche and Lhotse in the route to Mount Everest, Amadablam Mountain is one of the most technical mountains to climb in Nepal.
We are currently offering 30days Amadablam Expedition itinerary. The package also covers half day Kathmandu tour that allows you an exploration of UNESO enlisted sites in Kathmandu. We will take 35minutes of Kathmandu Lukla flight and pass through bustling Namche Bazaar- the gateway of Khumbu region to Tengboche monastery from where we will advance forth to Amadablam Base Camp. Climbing the Amadablam Mountain, we will retrace our route back to Lukla and take return flight to Kathmandu.
Crossing Dudhkoshi River, passing through dense rhododendron woods, views of Kusum Kanggru, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Pumori, Amadablam, Cholatse, Kangtega, Lobuche and Tabuche Mountains, observing the skull of Yeti at Khumjung Monastery and praying for the successful ascend of Amadablam at Tengboche Monastery.
 We will take the southwestern route from Amadablam Base Camp and set our High Camps at three altitudes before reaching the summit. Enough rest days are included in the Amadablam Climbing package. Fixed Departure date is guaranteed at Osho Vision Treks and Expedition. Amadablam Climbing cost detail will be provided upon request.
Since Climbing Amadablam is the difficult and technical task, only die heart adventure lovers try to climb Amadablam.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
As you land in the TIA airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by representative from Osho Vision Treks and Expedition. You will complete your custom formalities and then meet with our representative who will take you to the luxurious hotel. You will be briefly explained about the Amadablam Expedition package and then enjoy the welcome dinner in the evening.

Day 02 & 03: Sightseeing and expedition preparation
We will take half day tour of Kathmandu and visit UNESCO enlisted sites of Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square. You can go shopping in Thamel for the other half of the day and buy necessary personal gears required for expedition. You will return back to hotel where you will be explained about the nature of trek and you will also be introduced with your team leader and other crew members. 

Day 04: Flight to Lukla (2800m) Trek to Phakding (2640m)
It takes about 40 minutes of Kathmandu Lukla flight to arrive at Tenzing Hilary Airport in Lukla. The air route from Kathmandu to Lukla is taken to be one of the best air routes in the world as you will have plenty of opportunity to enjoy sights of several mountains and valleys. Remember to take the seat at right side of aeroplane for the better views. We will cross Thadokoshi River and Dudhkoshi River at few points to reach Ghat which takes us further to Phakding village.

Day 05: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3446m)
Crossing Dudhkoshi River at few points, we will reach Benkar village. Enroute we will enjoy the sight of Thamserku Mountain. Our trekking permits will be checked at the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park which exists in Monjo village. Lowering down to Jorsale, we will cross the suspension bridge named after Sir Edmund Hilary and take the steep climb to Namche Bazaar.

Day 06: Trek to Khumjung (3790m)
We will pass through the scenic route with view of Kwangde Ri Mountain at the backdrop and traverse the old airport to reach Syangboche. We will take our lunch at Everest View Hotel which allows closeup view of Mount Everest along with views of Lhotse, Thamserku and Amadablam. Walking ahead, we will reach Khumjung.

Day 07: Exploration at Khumjung
This is Exploration Day. We will visit Khumjung Monastery. Skull of Yeti is major attraction of Khumjung Monastery. We will also observe the statue of Master Guru Rinpoche. If time allows, we will visit Khunde Village and know the local tradition.

Day 08: Trek to Tengboche Monastery
We will follow the trail through dense forest that supports wildlife like musk deer and Thar. Ascending further, we will move in and out of small settlements at Sanasa and Phuki Thanka to reach Tengboche village. We will enjoy the views of Tawache (6542 m), Nuptse (7855m), Lhotse (8618m), Kwongde (6187m), Everest (8,848 m), Amadablam (6856m) and  Thamserku (6608m) from Tengboche. Monastery in Tengboche is the largest monastery in Khumbu region.

Day 09: Trek to Mt. Amadablam Base Camp (4600m):
We will follow the rock strewn path and cross moraines and boulders to reach Amadablam Base Camp. We will enjoy the views of Amadablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Pumori, Cholatse, Lhotse, Kangtega, Tabuche and Lobuche Mountains and Minbo Glacier. We will set the Base Camp of Amadablam at foothill of Amadablam.

Day 10- 23: Mt. Amadablam Climb and descend
It is the most challenging part of Amadablam Expedition. We will begin our trek early in the morning as it is going to be long and tiring experience. Despite we will be drained out of energy, the climb will be rewarding as the summit of Amadablam Peak offers striking views of Pumori(7161m), Lhotse (8516m),  Makalu (8463m), Lobuche (6145m), Cho Oyu (8201m) and other mountains and peaks. We will descend to Amadablam Base Camp and celebrate the successful Amadablam climbing.

Day24: Rest Day at Amadablam Base Camp
A day of rest is required for recovering from the exhaustion that we feel after long and tiring ascend and descend of Amadablam peak. It helps us to accumulate the energy that is required for the trekking to be done in upcoming days. We will clear the mess that we create in Base Camp, collect the garbage and dispose them in a proper manner.

Day 25: Trek to Khumjung
We will leave Base Camp of Amadablam early in the morning. The return trail is easy as it we will follow the downward trail for most of the day. We will move in and out of Sherpa village of Tengboche and reach Khumjung Village where we will stay overnight.

Day 26: Trek to Phakding
An early trek will take us to the bustling Namche Bazaar which is the important tradecenter of Everest region. It is also the Gateway of Khumbu Region. Moving ahead, we will pass through small Jhorsalle village to Phakding where we will stay overnight.

Day 27: Trek to Lukla
We will cross Dudhkoshi River at few points and pass through Sherpa villages to Lukla where we will stay overnight.

Day 28: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu
Early in the morning, we will catch the Lukla Kathmandu flight. The representative will take us to hotel in Kathmandu where we will stay overnight. 

Day 29: Free Day in Kathmandu
Spend the day according to your will. We recommend you to go for shopping in Kathmandu. Shops in Thamel are popular among tourists for buying gift items like curio goods and handicrafts.  

Day 30: Departure:
Finally an undeniable time to bid goodbye arrives. You will be assisted with your last moment preparation and dropped at TIA, Kathmandu from where you will board the flight to your next destination.

“Beyond expectations” W e organised our 3 week adventure around Nepal with Dineash from Osho Vision Treks. In our initial meeting he listened to our requests & designed a tour according to our wishes. Our trip included a comfortable Scorpio car, a proficient courteous driver (Dipak) sightseeing around Kathmandu & the Kathmandu Valley, a 2 day rafting trip on the Trishuli river, Pokhara, a soft 2 day trek in the foothills of the Annapurnas, Lumbini, a 3 night 4 day package in the Royal Chitwan National Park, Nagarkot, Dhuulikhel and back to Kathmandu. Our trip included all hotels & breakfasts & full board when rafting & at Chitwan. Most of our accommodation was excellent. Dipak was a great driver, always on time & an extremely safe driver.
