Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu:
On the first day of the itinerary, you will arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu where you will be received by our representatives upon your arrival. You will then be transferred to the hotel where you will be shortly briefed about the trekking itinerary. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day02: Drive to Sundarijal, Trek to Chisapani
On the second day of the itinerary, you will take breakfast in the morning at the Hotel and then embark on an hour-long drive from the Capital city to the nearby town of Sundarijal, located 15 km northeast from Kathmandu. Sundarijal is the starting point of the trek whereupon the trail moves through the green forests of Shivapuri National Park. In a shortwhile, you will reach the Tamang Village of Mulkharka. After that, the trail ascends a little before lowering down through rhododendron forests to reach Chisapani (2140m). Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day03: Trek to Gul Bhanjyang:
You will be walking onto Gul Bhanjyang on the third day. Pati Bhanjyang, located at 1860 meters of altitude, is a small Brahmin and Chhetri village lying between Chisapani and Gul Bhanjyang. The trail from Pati Bhanjyang descends through Chipling (2170m) and Thodang Betine (2260m), offering splendid views of several mountains like Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal, among others. You will finally reach Gul Bhanjyang where you will be staying overnight.
Day04: Trek to Tharepati:
Today’s trail makes its way through the village of Kutumsang (2450m), before proceeding through several fir and rhododendron forests along the way. The trekkers will also be blessed with the views of the mountains along the way. They will become your constant company. Crossing past the villages of Panghu, Magen Goth (3420m) will ultimately lead the trekkers to Tharepati (3640m) where you will be staying for the overnight.
Day05: Trek to Melamchi Gaon:
The destination of the fifth day will be the village of Melamchi. From Tharepati, the trail will descend through mixed forests of spruce and rhododendron as you can enjoy the chirping of the local birds and fowls. Then you will cross Chhyadi River over a bridge to briefly ascend to the Sherpa Village of Melamchi Gaon (2530m). Melamchi is an amazing Sherpa village and you can stroll around the village before spending the rest of the night at a guesthouse.
Day06: Trek to Tarkegyang:
The next day, the trekkers will be descending from Melamchi Gaon and make their way towards Melamchi Khola or the River. The journey will make you fresh looking at the freshness of the water and the surrounding beauty. You will then walk along the smooth trail before heading to Tarkegyang at 2490 meters altitude. An old Buddhist Gompa or the monastery situated in Tarkegyang is popular among the visiting tourists.
Day07: Trek to Sermathang:
From Tarkegyang, the trekkers will make their way towards Sermathang on the seventh day. In between, you will come across the beautiful Sherpa village of Gangyul (2520m) and proceed further through forests and ravines to arrive to Chumik which will stretch further up the hill to the big Sherpa Village of Sermathang. It is also famous for the views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Rolwaling, Gosainkunda and even Mount Everest. Overnight stay at Sermathang (2610m).
Day08: Trek to Melamchipul Bazaar:
The 9th day of the Helambu Trek lowers down through the settlements of Nigale, Gyalsha and Raithani Gyang (2290m) which further stretches by the way of pine forests which lead to the large and amazing village of Dubha Chaur which eventually descends to Melamchipul Bazaar, the destination for the day. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day09: Drive to Kathmandu:
This day marks the end of Helambu Trek. Early in the morning, you will drive back to Kathmandu covering the distance of close to 60 kilometers from Melamchi. It takes around 2 hours for you to reach the Capital upon which you will be transferred back to the hotel where you will be served farewell lunch. The same day you will be transferred to the TIA from where you will return back to your home country.
