Kangchanjunga Trekking

Kanchenjunga Trek is recognized as the third elevated Mountain in the world which covers up the eastern section of Nepal along with our neighboring country India. The maximum elevation of Kanchenjunga Trek is 5,230 m and the start of the trek is from 1,750m. After 1988, the route for Kanchenjunga Trek is open for the foreigners. In comparison to other trekking, Kanchenjunga Trek is positioned in the remote and not so developed area. Despite of those difficulties Kanchenjunga Trek is considered as the paradise for those trekkers who love adventure. Kanchenjunga Trek will offer an occasion for the hiking throughout the pastureland, forests of Rhododendron and Bamboo.
Kanchenjunga Trek tenders the things like beautiful glaciers, diverse lifestyles and cultures of ethnic people especially Limbus and Rais, encounter with Himalayan animals just like Barking Deer, Panda and Bear. In additional Kanchenjunga Trek will make an opportunity to observe the Makalu and the Mount Kanchenjunga.

Day 01: Arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu
You will be welcomed by our team members from Osho Vision Treks & Expedition in the Airport and then transferred to hotel. Our travel representatives will give brief details about the travel itinerary upon your arrival in Kathmandu. You will be staying at a hotel in Kathmandu the very first day. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing Kathmandu
On the first day of the tour package, we will be sightseeing around the Capital city. Several world heritage sites are included  in Kathmandu Valley like Basantapur Durbar square, Swayambhunath Temple, Bouddha Stupa, Pasupatinath Temple, Patan Durbar Square and so on that is sufficient to keep the visitors enchanted. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Flight to Suketar (Taplejung), Trek to Jogidanda (2059m)
From Kathmandu we will take our flight for Suketar (Taplejung), seizing about 35 minutes which is positioned in the northeastern part of Nepal. Taplejung has its airstrip which helps to connect the flight with Biratnagar along the Valley, commercially. From Taplejung we will move to Jogidanda (2059m). From here the track leads to the Kanchanjunga descending through the forest for Jogidanda. Stay overnight at guesthouse.
Day 04: Trek to Chirwa (1800m)
We will move for the trek in Chirwa from Jogidanda. Trek to Chirwa (1800m) takes around 7 hours. The road which leads to Chirwa is not easy as we necessitate passing through jungles, narrow roads and streams. Every so often we need to ascend and at times descend. This is a small town though we can discover local shops for camping and lodges. Stay overnight at guesthouse.
Day 05: Trek to Sakathum (1660m)
Trekking from Chirwa to Sakathuthum covers 1,660 m and it takes six hours. Our trek starts along the bank of river and need to pass from small jungles. On the way we come across by varied types of Vegetation and plants. The track leads to uphill and downhill as well. When we cross a bridge which is a local suspension bridge we reach to Sakathuthum. Day 06: Trek to Amjilosa (2510m)
From Sakathum to Amjilosa it encircles 2,510m altitude taking roughly 5 hours. Originally our trek will be easy as we move through the flat land. Then, it starts to trek a form of steep uphill when we climb towards Amjilasa. It is a small rural area with not many inhabitants but will get local shops known as “Bhattis” and teashops. Stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 07: Trek to Kyapar (2730m)
Trek to Kyapar (2,730m) takes 7 hours from Amjilosa. The beginning tract that leads to Kyapar is through the flatland but as we climb to Gyable where we can see the settlement of natives. The trek is quite interesting as we pass through the jungles. Most of the people who are living in this area follow Buddhist culture. Stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 08: Trek to Ghunsa (3695m)
On the following day we will set from Kyapar to Ghunsa (3695m) as a trekking which takes six hours. On the way we get to observe a river called Gunsa after passing through the jungles. The track leads to the arrangement of natives. Considering the inhabitants one can with no trouble guess that people follow Tibetan culture from the beginning. Here, people are occupied in business like importing and exporting in Tibet. In winter season they too go to India for business purpose. Stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 09: Trek to Khambachen (4099m)
From Ghumsa to Khambachen (4099m) it puts away 6 and half hours. Kambachen is thick settlement of people following Tibetan way of life. We will be enthralled with the art and style of Khambachen which are stimulated from Tibetan cultures. As we go down, the track leads us to Lakep, a sole hut which is locked. Stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 10: Explore the Khambachen, rest day (4099m)
Again on this day of Kanchanjunga trekking we will simply travel around the Khambachen where we can find special things to learn about the place which is possible only by walking. We will pay out the remaining day by liking the place and latent for the trip ahead. Stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 11: Trek to Lhonak (4785m)
Trek to Lhonak (4785m) is an appropriate place to trek for trekkers as it is situated near by dry lake which seems to come out like a bed with unlocked, pure sand. We can enjoy the breathtaking mountains from every side. People who have approached from urban areas would adore perceiving it. Stay overnight in a tented camp.
Day 12: Trek to Pangpema (5143m)
 The tremendous outlook of peak that we missed in Lhonak can be observed from Pangpema (5143m), the base camp. The spectacular peak which is measured as a chief peak of Kanchenjunga and countryside of outstanding peaks which make one of the largest mountains in the world in terms of solo roofless shed is at Pangpema. Stay overnight in a tented camp.

Day 13: Pangpema (5243m)
The time duration that takes from Pangpema (5243m) to North Kanchanjunga Base Camp (5243m) is nearly 8 hours. We have to climb until we turn up at Base Camp. Here, we will care for the snow covering the mountains and glacier next to it. The motivating thing to look is the water every time from the George. We will trek back descending till we reach to Pangpema by watching the Yaks and mountains. Stay overnight in a tented camp.

Day 14: Trek to Khanbachen (4040m)
On the following day we will move ahead to Khanbachen from Pangpema by mounting to the north of Pangpema early in the morning. Khanbachen (4040m) can be effortlessly reached in a single day. If we are able to arrive in time then, we will be gifted by Peak Tent, Peak Pyramid and Peak Wedge. Stay overnight in a tented camp.

Day15: Trek to Lumba Samba (4206m)
On the 15th day we prefer to trek Lumba Samba (4206m), after passsing two passes bearing in mind the situation of weather either Lapsang La (5180m) or Mirgin La (4500m). Stay overnight in a tented camp.

Day 16: Trek to Ramche (4580m)
Trek to Ramche (4580m) will take nearly 7 hours. For the camp at Ramche we have to stroll definite time. The landscape around the Yalung Glacier is magnificent. We may be concerned by the frozen lake, streams clear like a crystal and other pleased views as well.  Ramche is situated on the wide and plane zone. Stay overnight in a tented camp.

Day 17: Trek to Cheram (3870m)
Trekking from Cheram (3870m) acquires 7 hours. Trekking to Cheram is not an easy trekking as we need to pass all the way from the places like desert and stone trace. The lane is inclining from Mirgin La toward Cheram. On the way of your trekking we will be blessed with the views of glaciers like Lapsang and Mirgin along with mountains which are covered with snow. We can find many stone roof and huts. Stay overnight in a tented camp.
Day 18: Trek to Tortong (2995m)
On this day of the tour package we will move to Torong (2995m). The trek starts from the forest but it does not stop there. Again we have to pass the landslides so that we can go for the trek to Tortong. Slowly peaks start to come into view after some distances the same as we move further for the scale. Stay overnight stay in a tented camp.

Day 19: Trek to Yamphudin (2080m)
Hike to Yamphudin (2080m) acquires 8 to 9 hours. The hiking set up after we take a walk into the jungles. Considering the landslides on the way can make us upset. As Yamphudin trek is a cheer trek where we can perceive mixed and various communities of people, fit in to Limbu, Sherpas, Gurung and Rai. In the midst of the village we can notice the fields of rice and corn. Stay overnight in guest house.

Day 20: Trek to Anpan (2040m)
Trekking from Yamphudin to Anpan (2040m) covers 6 to7 hours. At first we have to go away descending so that we can get over the Omje Khola. From here we have to move uphill from the jungles and orchid plants. At the present, we are close up with local settlement we can outlook diverse styles of houses built in small and thatched style. Going behind the ‘Khola’ named as Kabeli we have to walk a slight through the downward from there to arrive at Anpan. Stay overnight in guesthouse.

Day 21: Trek to Tembewa Height (2000m)
From Anpan we will move for the trek to Tembewa Height following downward after certain elevation. We ought to get set for Trek to Tembewa Height (2000m). This is a new stunning spot designed for trekking. The time designed for trek to Tembewa height is 7 hours. Stay overnight at guesthouse.
Day 22: Trek to Taplejung (1780m) or Surkhet (2300m)
From Tembewa Height we will move to Taplejung (1780m) or Surkhet (2300 enjoying the early dawn. Trek to Taplejung or Surkhet is concluded as the concluding walk according to our itinerary of tour package by holding 6 hours. Stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 23: Drive to Kathmandu (1300m)
This is the day to drive for Kathmandu (1300m) from Surkhet. After taking the breakfast we will go away from Surkhet to take the flight to Biratnagar. From Biratnagar we will join the trip to Kathmandu. After several hours of drive we will be landed on Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu and return to hotel. Stay overnight in hotel.

Day 25: Departure “Farewell”!!!
This is the final day of the tour package where the trip ends as soon as you will be transferred into the Tribhuvan International Airport by our representative staff from Osho Vision Treks & Expedition.

  2. Accommodation in Kathmandu (for two nights) as mentioned in the appropriate itinerary.
  3. Guided city tours (if applicable by private car / van / bus)- depending on the number of tourists.
  4. All your standard meals during the trek (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
  5. Local licensed English and other language speaking guides. (We have guides for different language including Russian, etc.)
  6. Local staffs and porters to carry your luggage during the trek
  7. Food, accommodation, salary, insurance, equipment and medicine for all staffs
  8. Domestic airfares including taxes at the Airport.
  9. Land transfers during trekking itinerary
  10. Inclusive of government tax.

  12. Restricted Area Trekking entry fee (Special permit is needed for trekking onto the restricted sites in Nepal including Upper Dolpo and Mustang.

“Beyond expectations” W e organised our 3 week adventure around Nepal with Dineash from Osho Vision Treks. In our initial meeting he listened to our requests & designed a tour according to our wishes. Our trip included a comfortable Scorpio car, a proficient courteous driver (Dipak) sightseeing around Kathmandu & the Kathmandu Valley, a 2 day rafting trip on the Trishuli river, Pokhara, a soft 2 day trek in the foothills of the Annapurnas, Lumbini, a 3 night 4 day package in the Royal Chitwan National Park, Nagarkot, Dhuulikhel and back to Kathmandu. Our trip included all hotels & breakfasts & full board when rafting & at Chitwan. Most of our accommodation was excellent. Dipak was a great driver, always on time & an extremely safe driver. Dineash rang everyday to check all was well on our trip. We had an absolutely fantastic time in Nepal thanks to Dineash & his team. I would highly recommend his services to one & all.
