Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be received and welcomed by our team members and representatives. From the Airport, you will then be transferred to the Hotel where you will be briefed about the travel itinerary. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu and obtain Visa
The next day, you will be completing the formalities like acquiring Chinese Visa for the impending Tibet tour. Once you get the Visa from the authorities, you will then go on a sightsee tour around the Capital visiting the monuments and the temples, the heritages and also the Durbar Squares of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. After completing the sightseeing tour, you will return back to the Hotel.
Day 03: Flight to Nepalgunj
On the third day of the itinerary, you will be taking a flight to Nepalgunj from the Capital city of Kathmandu. In about an hour’s flight, you will land at the Nepalgunj Airport. Nepalgunj is the hub of the Western Nepal and is an important city lying close to the Indian Border of Rupediya. Overnight stay at a Hotel in Nepalgunj.
Day 04: Flight to Simikot, trek to Dharapani Camp
Early in the morning on the fourth day, you will catch a flight to Simikot- the headquarters of Humla district from Nepalgunj. It will be a short mountain flight from the western city to the hilly town. Your official trekking then begins from Simikot. You will pass through rocky path and fields of barley and wheat before ascending to the ridge above the town of Simikot. Finally, you will reach to Dharapani Camp which will be the destination for the fourth day. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day 05: Trek to Kermi
Your journey from Dharapani to Kermi begins on the 5th day when you will be following the route through steep slope to the river. After crossing the waterfall near the shepherd’s camp at Chachera, we will climb up to Kermi- a small village in the Humla district. We will stay overnight at a guesthouse in Kermi.
Day 06: Trek to Yalbang
After having breakfast at Kermi, we will leave the place and enter a big Valley. On the way, you will pass through fields of potato and buckwheat and cross the pine forests before lowering down to Salli Khola. We will cross Salli Khola and cross another ridge to reach a meadow. A little far from the meadow is situated Yalbang Village where we will spend our night for the day.
Day 07: Trek to Muchu
On the 7th day, we will follow the trail to the bottom of the hill and then climb up the steep hill. We will then lower down to reach to a suspension bridge over Karnali River. We will cross the bridge to finally make it to the village of Muchu where we will spend the night.
Day 08: Trek to Yari
From Muchu, we will pursue the trail over a ridge to Tumkot Khola and move along the rocky path before ascending through a rock-filled gully. We will then move forward to Palbang and cross mustard fields before finally arriving to the village of Yari. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Yari.
Day 09: Trek to Sipsip
On the 9th day, we will leave the village of Yari and follow the route all the way up to a Valley. A little far from the valley is located Nara Lagna-La Pass. We will further lower down from the pass and then reach a meadow which is called as Sipsip. Overnight stay at a tented camp.
Day 10: Trek to Taklakot
From Sipsip, you will follow the trail up to Nara Lagna Pass and then descend to the village of Ranipauwa. You will then move further down to Karnali River and then cross Nepal-Tibet border. After driving past Khojar Nath Temple, you will then head to Taklakot which is a popular trading point between the Nepalese and Tibetan traders.
Day 11: Drive to Mansarovar
Your destination for the day is Manasarovar and you will reach the destination after driving the total distance of around 180 kms from Taklakot. The whole journey for the day takes about 6 hours to complete. Mansarovar is a major pilgrimage destination both for Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims from across the world. The Mansarovar Lake and the mountain is considered as the abode of Hindu lord Shiva. Upon reaching there, you will drive to Chui Gompa by moving around Manasarovar Lake. You will stay overnight at the banks of Manasarovar.
Day 12: Drive to Tarboche
After worshipping early in the morning and taking a holy bath in Manasarovar Lake, you will then head to Tarboche which is situated at around 4750 meters of altitude. In total, you will be covering a distance of around 53 kilometers before reaching Tarboche. You will stay overnight in Tarboche.
Day 13: Trek to Dirupak
About 5 hrs of walking through numerous waterfalls and rocky cliffs will lead you to Derapuk on the 13th day. On the way, you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the northern face of Mount Kailash along with other mountains. Later you will lower down to finally reach Derapuk where you will be staying for the night.
Day 14: Trek to Zuthulpuk
You will continue the walking or the Parikrama the next day by walking past Dolma La pass (5650m). The trek is little difficult one but this day is the holiest day of your pilgrimage tour. Once you reach the top, you can offer holy offerings and can even sit down for meditation as it is such a quiet and calm place. Lowering down, you will reach Parvati-Stal and Gauri Kunda. In the afternoon, you will arrive at Zuthul Puk where the great ascetic Milerappa is believed to have performed some amazing miracles.
Day 15: Trek to Darchen
On the 15th day, you will be trekking to Darchen from Zuthulpuk, crossing several streams, some deep gorges. While on the way you will again be blessed with the magnificent views of Mount Kailash. You then enter the Bharka plain and it's about an hour's walk through this desert-like land before you reach to Darchen. Overnight stay at a tented camp.
Day 16: Trek to Paryang
Paryang is located around 300 km far from Darchen and it takes about 7-8 hours of drive to make it to Paryang. You will pass through scenic beauties of mountains, wild and farm animals before reaching Paryang. It will be a comfortable drive and you can stop by in the middle for a hot cup of tea. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Paryang. Day 17: Drive to Saga
You will continue your drive to Saga from Paryang on the next day and cover a distance of around 255 kilometers. It will take around 5-6 hours for you to cover the distance. Overnight stay at a tented camp.
Day 18: Drive to Shigatse
From Saga, you will continue the trip to Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet. It lies in a distance of about 450 kilometers and you reach Shigatse enjoying the scenic drive along the way. Shigatse is a calm and peaceful city which provides excellent opportunity for both relaxation and exploration. Thereafter, exploring the local market we will make a detailed visit to the Tashilhunpo Monastery, one of the largest functioning monasteries in Tibet.
Day 19: Sightseeing and drive to Gyantse
The next day, you will drive to Gyantse from Shigatse while enjoying the scenic drive along the way. Before leaving Shigatse, you will visit the Tashilhunpo Monastery, which is one of the largest monasteries in Tibet. The drive to Gyantse is around 90 kms long and will be a pleasurable one. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Gyantse.
Day 20: Sightseeing and drive to Lhasa
From Gyantse, you will further drive to Lhasa, the Tibetan Capital, covering around 261 kilometers of distance in around 4-5 hours. You will enjoy the drive as you will come across several amazing landscapes during the drive. Overnight stay at a Hotel in Lhasa.
Day 21: Sightseeing in Lhasa
The next day, you will be enjoying a full day of sightseeing tour in Lhasa, exploring the major sites in Lhasa. You will visit the popular Sera Monastery, the Norbulinga Palace- also known as the summer house of Dalai Lama and the Jokhang Temple- which is a spiritual centre of Tibetan Village. You will then follow the pilgrimage circuit around the ancient streets of the old city near the Barkhor market, enjoy the market area and then return to the hotel in the evening.
Day 22: Second day of sightseeing in Lhasa
Early in the morning of the next day, you will again embark on a second day sightseeing tour of Lhasa. On this day, you will explore the magnificent Potala Palace and Drepung Monastery. The 17th century Potala Palace offers a breathtaking view across the city and also has private rooms of the Dalai Lama, many large state rooms and chapels. Potala Palace is a great example of ancient Tibetan art and architecture. After spending some time visiting Potala Palace, you will then visit Drepung -one of the largest monasteries in Tibet.
Day 23: Flight to Kathmandu
On this day, you will be transferred from your Hotel to the Gongar Airport from where you will catch your flight to Kathmandu. After landing at the Kathmandu Airport, you will then be transferred to the Hotel where you will be staying overnight.
Day 24: Free day in Kathmandu
The second last day of the itinerary has been planned so that you will take rest at the Hotel throughout the day. In the evening, you can stroll around the streets of Thamel and buy gifts and souvenirs to your loved ones. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 25: Departure from Kathmandu
On the final day, you will be transferred from the Hotel to the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu from where you will take a flight back to your home country or to your next favored destination.
