Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu:
Representative from Osho Vision Treks & Expedition Pvt. Ltd. will receive you from Tribhuvan International Airport and then you will be transferred to the hotel where you will be briefly explained about your trekking package.
Day 02: Trek preparation and sightseeing in Kathmandu:
Guided sightseeing tour is offered to you on the second day. Visits include the UNESCO enlisted World Heritage Sites of Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath (also known as Monkey Temple), Bouddhanath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square.
Day03: Flight to Nepalgunj:
It takes an hour of flight to reach Nepalgunj Airport from Kathmandu. Nepalgunj is the important trade city from southwestern Nepal which is located just 8km away from the Indian border. While in Nepalgunj, do remember to visit the Bageswori Temple.
Day04: Flight to Juphal (24755m) Trek to Chhepka (2838m) 6hrs:
35minutes of scenic flight over mountains will be enough to shift us to Juphal Airport. We will find the environment to be totally different from Nepalgunj. The trekking commences at Juphal as we walk past fields to Thulo Bheri River. We will walk along Suli Khola and head to Kagbeni Village. From Kagbeni, we will move through forest to Snagta Village and then we will continue our walk through the raised path to Chepka.
Day05: Trek to Chunuwar (3110m) 6hrs:
Walking through the forest, we will move along the river for about 4hours to arrive at the village of Rechi. Crossing the bridge, we will move further through the slope and reach Chunuwar in about 2hours of time from Rechi. Amchi Hospital is the popular site near Chunuwar.
Day06: Trek to Ringmo and to Phoksundo Lake (3733m) 3hrs:
Continual ascent of the hill for about 2hours will take us to the hilltop. The path offers the pleasant view of Suligad waterfall. Lowering down from the hill, we will follow the path along river to Ringmo Village. A little further from Ringmo is located Phoksundo Lake.
Day07: Rest Day at Phoksundo Lake:
7th day will be the rest day. It helps us in acclimatizing to the higher elevation. We will prepare ourselves for the upcoming trekking and take rest at Phoksundo Lake. We can utilize the opportunity to explore the nearby village of Ringmo where we can visit Tibetan Monastery upon your interest.
Day08: Trek to Chunemba (3639m) 5hrs:
We will follow the famous demon trail which exists just above the lake. The path is narrow and interrupted at lengths by landslide. Ascending the ridge, we will enjoy the view of Norbung Kang Mountain before lowering down to the northern edge of the Lake. We will then ascend the valley from where we can have the view of Kanjirowa Mountain. A bit further lies Chunemba which is the lake side camp.
Day09: Trek to Snowfields Camp (4400m) 7hrs:
About an hour of walking will enable us to exit the Phoksundo Valley. Crossing the river, we will choose the ascending path to arrive at Snowfields Camp which locates at the base of the hill. The place was named Snowfields Camp by Peter Matheison in his novel ‘Snow Leopard.’
Day10: Trek to Shey Gompa (4310m) via Kang La Pass (5375m) 6hrs:
Climbing the path for 3hours that is made slippery by the falling snow will lead us to the top of Kang La Pass which is locally called Ngadra La. Descending from the hilltop, we will reach to our destination and the jewel of Inner Dolpo- Shey Gompa in 3hours of time. Day11: Rest Day at Shey Gompa:
We will take a break from our journey at Shey Gompa which is located at the foothill of Crystal Monastery. Exploring around, we will visit Tsakang Gompa which belongs to the Kagyupa Sect of Buddhist community. If you are lucky, you might spot the snow leopard in this region.
Day12: Trek to Namgung (4430m) via Shey La (5000m) 6hrs:
Continuing our journey through the narrow valley, we will reach to the top of Shey La which is locally known as Gelu La. We will enjoy the view of Tibetan plateau to the north before lowering down to the pasture land of Namgung where we will be staying overnight.
Day13: Trek to Saldang (4060m) 3hrs:
Trekking on 13th day begins by chasing the way that exists above Namgung River. We will then take a gentle descent to Village of Saldang which is the largest village of Inner Dolpo Region. People of Saldang mainly rely on salt trade and agriculture for living.
Day14: Trek to Sibu (4200m) 5hrs:
Moving south along the Namgung River, we will pass through few small settlements and pass through barley field, Mani Walls and chortens before reaching to Sibu which is located at 4200m altitude. It takes 5hours to complete the journey.
Day15: Trek to Lagmo Che (4570m) 4hrs:
We will follow the way along the river and transcend the Village of Raka which is the last Village of Inner Dolpo Region. Passing through Raka, we will arrive at large barren valley from where we will ascend to reach to the meadow of Lagmo Che which serves as the base camp for Jeng La Pass.
Day16: Trek to Tokyu (4209m) via Jeng La (5110m) 7hrs:
2hours of difficult climbing will take us to the top of Jeng La Pass. We will have the close view of Dhaulagiri and other mountains before lowering down to Tokyu Village. While staying at Tokyu Village, we will visit the Gompa where we can see the magnificient statue of Maitreya Buddha.
Day17: Trek to Dho Tarap (4080m) 2hrs:
Passing along the Crystal Mountain School, we will trek for about an hour to arrive at Dho Tarap Village. The people of Dho Tarap have adopted agriculture as the chief occupation and barley, potatoes and buckwheat are the chief crops. Houses are built using stones.
Day18: Trek to Sisaul (3750m) 4hrs:
Leaving Dho Tarap early in the morning, we will follow the easy trail passing through mani walls and chortens. The trail later takes the steep descent to make it to Tarap Khola. A short climb from the river will take us to the valley from where we will lower down to Sisaul.
Day19: Trek to Laina Odar (3370m) 8hrs:
A short ascent will take us to the hilltop. We can see chortens lying at the top. We will then move along the river basin for about 3 to 4hours to arrive at Nawarpani. From Nawarpani, we will follow the downward trail through the woods to arrive at Laina Odar. A tent- hotel is available at the riverside at Laina Odar where we can stay overnight.
Day20: Trek to Lingdo (2391m) 5hrs:
We will begin the trek on 20th day by choosing the downward trail through forests of fir, juniper and cypress to Laisicap. 3hours of trekking will be enough to arrive at Laisicap. We will then cross Thuli Bheri River and walk through the downward trail. Enroute, we will be enjoying the views of Kang Tokal Mountain before passing through few settlements like Sarakot before entering the village of Lingdo.
Day21: Trek to Dunai (2140m) 5hrs:
We will continue our journey through the narrow path that is obstructed at few points by the landslide. About 3 hours of walk will take us to village of Bazar. The trail then proceeds along Thuli Bheri River to arrive at Dunai which is the district Headquarter of Dolpa.
Day22: Trek to Juphal (2475m) 3-4hrs:
Leaving Dunai, we will cross the suspension bridge and continue walking for about 2 to 3 hours to arrive at Juphal. Passing through the village of Kalagaonda, we will proceed further through barley and buckwheat fields before climbing the raised path to arrive at Juphal.
Day23: Flight to Nepalgunj Flight to Kathmandu:
We will take the early morning 30 minutes flight back to Nepalgunj. From Nepalgunj, we will board another flight back to Kathmandu.
Day24: Free Day in Kathmandu:
This will be taken as the rest day. Shopping around the freak streets of Thamel is the wonderful pass time activity. You can also enjoy the rickshaw ride around Thamel especially in the evening.
Our representative will help you in last moment preparation. You will then be driven back to Tribhuvan International Airport. A flight from TIA will take you to your next desired destination.
